It’s not an understatement to assert that the deaths of some actors shakes Nollywood to its core each time it occurs. Sadly so, news making the rounds now have it that renowned actor, Victor Eze popularly known as Alika of the popular comedy series titled ‘Fuji House of Commotion’ has been reported dead. Another popular Nollywood actor dies.
Alika had been down with stroke for almost three decades. While alive, Alika prove himself to be versatile in the Nigerian movie industry. He was a multi-talented artiste who excelled in such showbiz aspects as acting, dance, drama, music and others. The Performing Arts graduate of Obafemi Awolowo University (O.A.U.), Ile-Ife who was also the proprietor of Vickez Productions. When the ailment struck, his family members were reported to have spent so much and to ensure his speedy recovery but unfortunately, he passed.

Alika died yesterday (26 June 2017) after the long battle with stroke. Ex-housemate, Thin Tall Tony, took to his IG page to mourn the late writer, director and producer.

“Was looking like a great day until I heard about your passing sir…he! Ladies and gentlemen has been my biggest influence in characters on stage (he was too good on stage and a Lord in switching roles) he could play 6 roles in one production and you couldn’t tell the difference…we! Dancers, stage actors from the national theatre will always miss you.”
His passing has also been reportedly confirmed by the former President of Actors Guild of Nigeria, Mr Segun Arinze.

Alika’s death comes shortly after popular actress, Moji Olaiya died in Canada. The movie star would always be remembered for his role in one way or the other in the development of the Nigerian movie industry and for the legacies he left behind. May his soul RIP, Amen.
