Rome Metaverse Sells for $120,000 On Ertha

  • An Anonymous investor has purchased Rome metaverse territory in Ertha’s virtual world for a record-breaking $120,000
  • The purchase gives the buyer access to famous landmarks like the Colosseum, Trevi fountain, and the Vatican City in the metaverse
  • This comes after the city of Tokyo and the country of Sweden were sold on the metaverse for $59,000 and $50,000 respectively

Ertha metaverse has taken a huge step in its bid to become one of the industry’s top creators of virtual lands. The project which is recognized for the high search of its tokens has closed a sales record with the sale of another virtual land. The company disclosed on Tuesday that it had sold the Rome metaverse territory in its virtual space to an anonymous buyer.

Announcing the deal on its official Twitter account, the metaverse company posted:

“Rome no longer belongs to the Romans, but to the investor who spent $120,000 for the privilege to call one of Europe’s most famous cities their own”

In what is the first 6-digit sale made by the company, the buyer will have control of famous landmarks in Italy such as The Colosseum and the Trevi Fountain, Vatican City, and the Sistine Chapel. This sale exceeds previous sales highs that were made when Tokyo was sold for $59,000 and the majority of Sweden went for $50,000.

Although the $120,000 paid for the Rome metaverse might seem like an outrageous amount of money to spend on virtual land, it keeps up with recent trends of high valuations for metaverse lands. The buyer will also have a chance to generate its owner revenue through $ERTHA tokens when transactions take place on the ecosystem.
