The launch of the store appears to be part of the company’s strategy to promote the metaverse. Meta has been investing in the development of the metaverse, a virtual space where people will be able to interact and work together.
Earlier this month, the company disclosed that it would start testing tools for selling and digital asses within its VR platform, Horizon Worlds. Horizon World is a virtual reality platform that was launched by Meta late last year.
