Nigerian-American, Nnamdi Chukwuocha wins legislative seat in US

Another Nigerian-American, who goes be the name Nnamdi Chukwuocha has won a seat at the Delaware house of representatives in the on going US general elections.

Nnamdi O. Chukwuocha is an American politician and poet. He is a Democratic member of the Delaware House of Representatives, representing District 1. He is also the current Poet Laureate of Delaware, along with his twin brother, Albert Mills.

Chukwuocha and his twin Albert

Chukwuocha once enlisted in the United States Armyand was stationed in Alaska.

His brother also served in the Army, in both Iraq and Kuwait during the first Gulf War.

Chukwuocha, a candidate of the Democratic Party, was first elected into the state house of representatives in 2018 after defeating incumbent Charles Potter Jr. 

Prior to his victory at the elections he was elected to represent district 1 of Delaware.

His joined host of other Nigerian-American elected in the US, Esther Agbaje and Oye Owolewa.
