Facebook CEO, Mark Zuckerberg became the 5th self-made billionaire to amass over $100 billion in value and he is the youngest person to do so.
Zuckerberg, 36 is the co-founder of the world’s largest social media company. At the time of this report, his worth stands at $106 billion.
The majority of Zuckerberg’s wealth comes from his $780 billion company, Facebook. The social media company also owns other media apps like Instagram and WhatsApp.
The 36-year-old is estimated to hold over $2.93 billion in cash.
In December 2015, Zuckerberg pledged to give away 99% of his fortune over the cause of his lifetime.
Even though the Facebook CEO has so much money, he has little interest in luxury cars and clothes and spends less on them. He however prefers to spend more on real estate properties.
Since becoming a billionaire, Zuckerberg has invested billions in medical research and child education around the world.
The philanthropist also recently announced that a COVID-19 vaccination tool was set to launch. The tool shows people when they can get vaccinated and appropriate locations for the procedure.
The tool will be attached to Facebook, which will give millions of people access to it.
