No one is working harder than veteran African-American musician Akon to bring the goods to Africa at the moment.

The philanthropist recently announced plans to build a new futuristic cryptocurrency city in Uganda.

The new city construction will have the backing of the Ugandan government.

Uganda’s Minister of State for Lands, Isaac Musumba announced at a press conference last week that land of one square mile will be offered to Akon for the construction.

A place suitable in Uganda that has not less than one square mile will be made available to him and his team so he can harness resources and investments, attract investors, manage the project, and have a city.

According to media outlets in Uganda, the city will use Akon’s cryptocurrency, Akoin.

Use of the Akoin crypto has begun in Mwale Medical and Technology City (MMTC) as testing before its original use.

This is going to be Akon’s second crypto city after he recently began construction of $6 billion Akon city in Senegal.

Akon believes that the construction of the city will motivate residents of Uganda to work harder so that they can afford to live there.

The construction of Akon City 2 will be completed in 2036, according to the musician.
