At the end of trading sessions on Tuesday, Elon Musk’s net worth rose to $204 billion, making him the richest person in the world.

The Tesla CEO gained $4.72 billion as more investors bought into Tesla stocks at record levels.

His current net worth puts him ahead of fierce rival Jeff Bezos as the richest man in the world, according to Bloomberg Billionaires Index.

The Amazon founder currently has a net worth of $202 billion, putting him $2 billion short of the SpaceX CEO.

Tesla’s record gains were influenced by the news that the company plans to grow its unit volumes by 50%.

In addition, the electric vehicle company has made plans to expand into other vehicle segments.

There are even speculations about the company building a car worth $25,000 by 2023.

Also, Tesla recently disclosed that it has set up electricity storage facilities in California as well as Australia and Belgium.
