
FG Declares Wednesday and Thursday Public Holidays for Eid-ul-Fitr

The Federal Government has declared Wednesday 12th and Thursday 13th in May public holidays

The news was disclosed by Dr. Shuaib Belgore on behalf of the minister of Interior Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola
Wednesday 12th and Thursday 13th May have officially been declared public holidays to celebrate this year’s Eid-ul-Fitr, according to the Federal Government.
The news was passed on Twitter by Dr. Shuaib Belgore on behalf of the Minister of Interior Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola.

Aregbesola also made the declaration in Abuja on Monday, on behalf of the Government.
He congratulated the Muslims who had come to the end of another fasting.
He urged Nigerians in the country and abroad to use this period to pray for peace and economic transformation in the country.

Aregbesola stated that growth and development can not happen in a hostile environment, therefore everyone had to embrace love and kindness.

He also reiterated the government’s commitment to ending crime and banditry that has ravaged some parts of the country.
