
One Dead As Yoruba And Hausa Clash In Ibadan Market
-One person was confirmed dead on Friday when a fight happened in Shasa Market Ibadan
-The fight started between a cobbler and a cart pusher but escalated into a fight between ethnic groups
-The fight resulted in the death of the cobber, a Yoruba man
There was complete chaos in Shasha market Ibadan when a conflict between a Hausa cart pusher and a Yoruba Cobbler resulted in the death of the latter.
According to those on the scene, the fight started when the cart pusher hit a pregnant woman with hid wheelbarrow.

This angered the cobbler who then came to defend the woman but was stabbed in the process.

The death of the cobbler led to an uproar among the Yoruba people who attacked the Hausa people in the area.

The conflict resulted in the damage of property and many shops were set on fire. A couple of people were also injured in the process.
The conflict raged on for a huge part of Friday before the police were able to bring it under control.
It will be recalled that Yoruba activist, Sunday Igboho ordered Fulani Herdsmen and Hausas to leave the area.
