Mayor of Washington, DC, Muriel Bowser has announced in a statement issued via Twitter that the curfew in the capital city would remain until Thursday 6am. Hundreds of Trump supporters in their MAGA outfits had trooped to Capitol Hill and broke into a Congress session where the electoral votes where bring counted. The Electoral College certification vote has to be paused after pro-Trump protesters incited by Trump’s moments before that time broke through security at the Capitol building.
In the statement, the Mayor disclose tgsr during the hours of the curfew, other than persons designated by the Mayor, nobody else should be within the district.
The US Congress was forced into emergency recess on Wednesday afternoon after protesters breached security cordons and forced their way into the Capitol building.
An unidentified woman who was reportedly shot during the fiasco had been pronounced dead at the hospital
