WhatsApp, Instagram, and Facebook Crash in Major Outage

  • WhatsApp, Instagram, And Facebook have all gone down in a major social media outage on Monday
  • The apps which are all powered by Facebook Inc all completely stopped functioning at 4 pm on Monday
  • Other minor Facebook products such as Facebook Workplace were also affected by the outage

WhatsApp, Instagram, and Facebook have all stopped functioning after a major outage hit the networks.

All the three apps powered by Facebook Inc use the same infrastructure and stopped fuctiontioning around 4 pm today.

WhatsApp was the first of the three to stop working (both the web and mobile version) then Facebook and Instagram followed.

The outage was not limited to one area, affecting the USA, UK, Europe, Latin America, and Africa.

Other minor Facebook products such as Facebook Workplace were also affected by the outage.

The last time the there applications all went out was on March 19, 2021, and it took hours to get them functioning again.

As of now, the company is yet to release an update or state a reason for the major downtime.
