Twitter Takeover: Snoop Dogg Wants to Buy Social Media Giant

  • Snoop Dogg has jokingly taken a shot at being the next owner of social media giant, Twitter.
  • The rapper made a post about buying the company and changing its board members if Elon Musk fails to complete the deal.
  • Musk announced on Friday that the $44 billion Twitter takeover deal has been put on hold.

Snoop Dogg has stunned everyone after suggesting that he wants to buy social media platform, Twitter after Elon Musk’s takeover deal was put on hold.

Twitter takeover deal

The rapper, with legal name Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr, took his shot with a post that says “may have 2 [to] buy Twitter now”. He also jokingly claimed that he would replace the board of directors with Jimmy from corner Fish Fry, Tommy Chung, and tha guy with ponytail on CNBC [Pete Najarian].”

The Deathrow label owner also said that he was going to give everyone on the social media platform a verification badge, including the bots.  In addition to that, revealed that his first line of business would be to put free internet on planes.

However, Snoop Dogg’s chance of acquiring the social media platform appears to be very low. The 50-year-old Young, Wild, and Free singer only has an estimated net worth of $150 million, a fraction of Musk’s $44 billion offer.

Elon Musk

There are now some question marks over Elon Musk’s Twitter takeover deal after the Tesla CEO announced that the deal had been put on hold. The billionaire claims that he wants the social media company to prove that spam/fake accounts constitute less than 5% of its total users.

It would be recalled that during negotiations, Musk had claimed that one of his priorities would be eliminating spambots if his Twitter takeover bid succeeds.
