The company claims that it is seeking new ways to enrich its platform and bring value to users.

The company is also developing a LIVE mobile gaming feature that will allow creators to better engage fans during a live stream.
TikTok, one of the world’s fastest-growing social media platforms, recently surpassed YouTube on watch time with over 1 billion monthly active users. The social media company, however, doesn’t intend to slow down.
The platform is looking to increase the range of activities that users can engage in while scrolling through the app. A report from Reuters indicates the company is set to invest in HTML5 games and has even begun testing them.
Rather than web-based gaming, it appears that there is more to the company’s gaming strategy. The report says that TikTok is working on a LIVE mobile gaming feature that would allow creators to engage their fans during a livestream.
The video company plans to begin with minigames that have simple mechanisms and a shorter playing time and testing is already being carried out in Vietnam.
This is not the first time that news of TikTok’s HTML5 gaming has been brought to light. The social video app company announced its plans alongside its Zynga partnership last year.

The two companies had collaborated to launch the HTML5 game Disco Loco 3D on the app. Before the Zynga deal, TikTok had also already launched its own game, Garden of Good, to determine if users will be willing to play games.
Another report from TechCrunch, states that the company is working on a host of other features for live streaming as well.
