Nigerian Fintech Startup, Flutterwave now has a valuation of over $1 billion after the company secured a $170 million Series C funding.
Altogether, the company has secured over $200 million in funding.
The fintech company is one of many others that have been facilitating payment in Africa.
Flutterwave was created in 2016 and helps businesses build a customizable payment app.
The company is actively offering its services in 11 African countries including Nigeria, South Africa, Kenya, and Ghana.
The funding secured by the startup will be used to expand into other territories.

The CEO and co-founder of the Startup, Olugbenga Agboola says that the company is considering the possibility of listing in New York, or possibly New York and Nigeria.
Paystacks, another Nigerian payment startup was acquired by Stripe last year. This led many to believe that Flutterwave may follow.
The funding secured shows that the Fintech company is not looking to be acquired any time soon.
