The billionaire revealed recently that his place of abode is nothing but a fancy box.
The eccentric billionaire stated that he had sold off all his luxury homes, leaving him with one residential house rented out for events in the Texas Bay area.
The 50-year-old businessman promised to sell all his houses last year after criticism about his massive wealth and he has almost made good of the promise.
Since that time, Musk has sold 6 out of 7 previous properties and acquired this $50,000 home from SpaceX.

What you should know about Elon Musk’s $50,000 house
The box house was rented from his own company SpaceX but designed by Boxabl, a construction startup that designs houses that are easy to construct.

The house is set up like a studio apartment and comes with basic amenities found in a regular home.
The 20-foot by 20-foot box is partitioned into a living room, bedroom, kitchen and bathroom.

In November last year, Boxabl disclosed that it was constructing a building in Boca Chica for a “top secret” customer.
It wasn’t hard to put 2 and 2 together to figure out that this building belonged to billionaire Elon Musk.
