Have you ever wondered what a music video that was shot in the metaverse would look like? Well, you don’t have to imagine anymore because Snoop Dogg has the answer.
The Hip-Hop veteran released a new music video on April 1, that was shot in the metaverse.
The new video is for his song “House I Built”, off his most recent album, BODR, which was released in February this year.
The metaverse video was shot in a Snoop-themed digital world called the “Snoopverse”, in The Sandbox metaverse. It was also made and edited using content creation tools on the platform such as VoxEdit and Game Maker.
Through the “House I Built” video, Snoop Dogg narrates how he built up his career, and is set to build his virtual world- “Snoopverse”.
What is the Snoopverse?
After Snoop announced plans for the Snoopverse last year, he disclosed that it was going to be a virtual world that features all things relating to him. In this VR world, fans will be able to collect NFT drops and watch exclusive concerts.
Only a few celebrities have embraced the growing Web3 technology as Snoop Dogg has. So far this year, the rapper has also released an NFT album and revealed plans to make “Death Row” an NFT record label.
