According to the statement released, a new date will be scheduled for president Buhari to go for his medical visit
President Muhammadu Buhari has cancelled his scheduled trip for a medical checkup to London.
A short statement was released by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina to announce this on Friday.
Mr Adesina announced that a new date will be conveyed when the medical visit has been rescheduled.
Femi Adesina’s statement reads;
‘’The medical follow-up visit of President Muhammadu Buhari to the United Kingdom earlier scheduled for today, Friday, June 25, 2021, has been postponed. A new date will be announced in due course,’’
The President’s aide failed to give a reason for the cancellation of the trip.
Had it not been cancelled, this would have been the 2nd time that the President will go for a medical checkup in 2 months.
The President’s last medical visit in March 2021 lasted over 2 weeks.
Since being elected as president, Buhari has spent a total of 183 days in the United Kingdom on medical visits.
