Lady Suffers Heart Attack After Trying Dangerous Tik Tok Challenge

• A 20-year-old lady Briatney Portillo suffered a heart attack in April after participating in a popular Tik Tok challenge called “dry scoop”

• The dry scoop challenge is a trend where people ingest protein powder (energy boosters) without diluting it with water

• Miss Portillo was unaware that she was allergic to caffeine which is contained in the protein powder she suffered a minor heart attack as confirmed by her doctor

Tik Tok has the most amazing challenges from cloth changing challenges to couple games, it is a fun social media platform to use.

A recent incident has however proven that while participating in these challenges people have to confirm the impact and ensure that there are no repercussions.

A 20-year-old girl Briatney Portillo will know better after she suffered a heart attack following her participation in the ‘dry scoop challenge’.

The dry scoop challenge is a trend where users take in a mouthful of protein powder without diluting it with water.

Bear in mind, that protein powder is an energy booster that contains caffeine and needs to be diluted before use.

Miss Portillo ingested the powder and was going about her day as usual but she noticed that she began sweating profusely and had chest pain.

The 20-year-old began to feel nauseous and she couldn’t eat, so she had her bath and went to work.

At work, the chest pain became more intense then she decided to go to the hospital.

At the hospital, a CT scan was run and the doctors discovered that Miss Portillo had suffered a heart attack.

She was told by the doctors that she had a sensitivity to caffeine which she was not aware of.

Briatney was lucky to recover from the incident and she decided to use her platform to sensitize others.

Sadly though, this has not stopped many others from participating in the dry scoop challenge on Tik Tok.
