Why you must not sing like Davido, Wizkid – Zaaki tells upcoming musicians
Northern based musician, Zaaki Azzay has urged up coming musicians to be original, instead of copying the likes of renowned songsters, Davido and Wizkid.
The veteran artiste, known majorly for his touch lights described the Nigerian music industry as a war front.
According to him, artistes, especially the fast rising ones must learn to be original instead of copying.
Azzay made this known in a recent interview.
“I’m able to evolve like this because I’ve often said that Mercedes is Mercedes.
“Mercedes is Mercedes 40-years ago, it’s still the same today.
“It’s the same with music, you should improve on your brand, improve on your songs, you must not start sounding like another artiste because he is reigning.
“You can’t all be like Wizkid, Davido or P’Square because they are on top now, just improve your brand.
“It’s like a war front, you have to retreat and plan; you don’t just go out, everyday you set out.
“If you are a proper person, you will set out where you are going to, you have meetings, appointments, you have to strategize, things have changed.
“Learn to be original and stop copying,” the ace songster urged.
