Nollywood actress, Mercy Aigbe says her husband, Lanre Gentry is threatening to kill her after conniving with the Police. The couple is currently involved in a domestic violence case, which the police is investigating and Gentry had been declared wanted by the police after he failed to show up in court following a summon. The actress’ seven-year-old marriage crashed after photos of her battered face went viral on the Internet last weekend, as she accused her husband of physical assault. Ms. Aigbe had laid complaints with Lola Akande, the Commissioner of Lagos State Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation on Tuesday, who handed over the case to the state Ministry of Justice.
Just recently, Ms. Aigbe responded to her husband’s interview where he alleged she is mentally unstable. She wrote an open letter to her husband, saying he is a liar. But in this new post, she calls out her husband, revealing he broke her skull and is now on the run.

Gentry went into hiding after the Lagos State Police Command declared him wanted. According to the mother of one, they were supposed to be in court this (Monday) morning and he didn’t show up, with the excuse that he was on Admission.
The court appearance is a result of a physical assault case levelled against him by the Lagos State Department of Domestic and Sexual Violence Response Team, DSVRT.

A fight between the couple allegedly led to her bleeding. Despite the explanations given by Mr. Gentry that the pictures of the actress’ bruised face were behind-the-scene images from a movie set, the actress has secured a restraining order against him. Gentry was billed to appear in a Lagos court following the allegations against him but he refused to show up according to the recent development.
