Meta Inc. is collaborating with VNTANA, an industry leader in 3D eCommerce technology to make it easier for brands to carry out 3D advertising on both Facebook and Instagram.
The tech giant granted VNTANA access to its AR Publishing API to automate the creation and publication of 3D assets for ads.
With this solution, more brands can bring their products to social media platforms owned by Meta and connect with their customers online.
VNTANA Chief Executive, Ashley Crowder referred to the initiative as a “stepping stone into advertising in the metaverse”.
It’s no secret that Meta has staked its future on creating the metaverse, a collection of virtual worlds that can be accessed through different devices.

With this integration VNTANA, Facebook, and Instagram users who see a 3D while browsing on their phones interact with an image of a product and move the item around to view it from all angles.
Before VNTANA’s integration on the social media platforms, advertisers who wanted their products to be displayed in 3D, had to reformat 3D files to be compatible with Meta’s ad systems.
