Popular social media platforms Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp all became inaccessible on Monday afternoon, following a sudden outage.

The downtime also affected secondary Facebook platforms such as Facebook workplace and messenger.

As everyone waits for their favorite social media platform to come back online, rival platform Twitter has seized this opportunity to poke fun at its competitors.

In a reference to the fact that Facebook and its sister platforms are down and everyone is rushing to Twitter, the @Twitter handle tweeted:

“hello literally everyone”

As if that was not enough, Twitter CEO and founder Jack Dorsey made fun of an error that showed that Facebook’s domain was for sale.

Referencing a screenshot that showed Facebook for sale, Jack Dorsey replied the tweeting asking “how much”.

It didn’t stop there for the Twitter boss, as he also poked fun at twitter’s encryption issues.

Facebook’s outage is lasting over five hours and the company is yet to disclose when the problem will be resolved.
